Sunday Sauce

1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes

1 18 oz can tomato paste + 3 cans water

Salt, sugar & fresh or dried basil

Bring to a boil & simmer

MEATBALLS

1 lb 80/20 hamburger

1 Tbls minced garlic

a little salt

Large handful of Pecorino cheese

2 slices white bread, soaked in water & squeezed out

2 eggs

Few shakes of ground mint, optional

Mix all together, brown in oil, don’t fully cook

Put in simmered sauce to finish cooking meatballs about 1 hr before sauce is done

Can add browned mild sausage to sauce in beginning

Or any browned pork, put in the beginning of sauce to fully cook the pork
