WHITE CLAM CHOWDER

Sauté 4 oz chopped pancetta in 2 T butter

Chop 2 stalks of celery into small pieces

Chop 1 small onion into small pieces

1 large bay leaf

Add to above to brown slightly

Add 2 – 3 minced garlic cloves

1 t Worcestershire sauce

3 undrained cans of chopped or minced clams (Snow’s  brand preferably)

Bring to a boil over med heat until potatoes are cooked

Whisk 1/2 c cream & 1/2 c milk with 2 heaping T of flour (or all milk)  (Or 1 c chicken boullion w flour)

Bring to a full boil, add milk mixture until thickened
