PICKLED BEETS

1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
2 T cornstarch dissolved in a little cold water
1 tsp ground ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt

Add cornstarch mixture when boiling, stir as it thickens

Boil for 5minutes, cool & pour over about 5-6 cooked beets cut into chunks. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving
