Pecan Pie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1 cup dark brown sugar

1 stick of butter

1 cup Karo syrup

1 cup chopped pecans

3 eggs, beaten

In a saucepan melt the butter but don’t let it brown.  Mix in the sugar & corn syrup & cook, stirring, over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.  Stir in the eggs, mix well, stir in pecans.

Pour into a 9” unbaked pie shell & bake for 1 hour or a until firm when shaken
