Clam Chowder

3 oz chopped prosucitto browned in 2 T butter on med heat

When browned add  2 stalks chopped celery, 1/2 chopped small onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2-3 bay leaves , 1 med, peeled diced potato, a sprinkle of thyme  & 3 cans of Snow’s minced or chopped clams,  do not drain

Cook until onion & celery are soft

Whisk 1/4 cup flour to 1 cup milk or cream

Bring all to a boil before adding  milk mixture & boil until thickened.  if too thick add a little water to thin out

Remove bay leaves before serving

Take off heat
